Mind & Body Wellness

Teens have a lot of stress. Let's help them relax and have fun by trying something new this summer. These activities will challenge their minds and bodies. 

Movement Programs


These movement programs will be unforgettable. If you can't find someone to teach these classes, try a free trial of Daily Burn. Keep in mind that you will want permission slips for these activities. Try all these different forms of exercise!
Kickboxing -
With some rocking music and the right instructor, your teens won't want to stop. 
Tai Chi -
This is a stress reducing, more meditative form of exercise. 
Yoga -
Promotes relaxation and healthy living, plus it is a very popular exercise style.

Writing Workshops


Not all writing is homework. Teens love to express themselves through writing. Hosting a Writing Workshop can help them do just that.
Local Authors -
Invite local authors to come and speak about their experiences. They are usually thrilled to join your discussions.
Camp NANOWRIMO - 
With this program, teens can get geared up for National Novel Writing Month in November.
Journal Creation -
Have teens make their own journals or paper books.
Writing Groups -
​Hold meetings during the summer for teens to get together and write!
